Health and Wellness Director (HWD) / Director of Nursing (DON) who is an integral member of the management team, contributing health care leadership and expertise to promote an environment of optimal living for residents. The

As a Director of Nursing / Health & Wellness Director your responsibilities will involve Resident Care, Nursing Leadership and Regulatory Safety and Compliance including but not limited to:Required Skills, Experiences and Competencies:- Leadership Excellence: Maintain, manage, and inspire a full team through recruiting, interviewing, mentoring, and coaching.
- Resident-Centric Care: Perform comprehensive assessments, coordinate individualized care plans, and provide empathetic, personalized care.
- Effective Collaboration: Liaise seamlessly with internal staff, third-party vendors, and medical professionals.
- Quality Assurance: Lead staff meetings, manage service agreements, update physician order sheets, and assure compliance with healthcare protocols.
- Continuous Oversight: Ensure proper medication management, complete timely audits, handle incident reporting, and conduct investigations.
- Emergency Response: Assist community during emergencies.
Industry experience includes, but is not limited to:
- Five years' previous management experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable of standards of care and practices applicable to the delivery of geriatric services, complex medical conditions, multiple medical diagnoses, including preventive measures, rehabilitation, and promoting independence.
- Experience in geriatric nursing or gerontology, including education in the aging process, memory decline and related behavior management highly preferred.
- Expertise in most up-to-date safety and infection control practices.
- Experience building and leading effective nursing teams including hiring, training and development

Education:- A bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- LVN, LPN or Registered Nurse with a current license in good standing. RN preferred
- Five to seven years' experience in a senior care environment preferred.
