Full Job Description
EthosEnergy Operations and Maintenance is seeking a Health, Safety and Security Manager to lead health and safety programs, risk management activities, regulatory preparedness, and continuous improvement initiatives across North America. This role partners closely with site operations, and business leaders to strengthen safety performance, support compliance, and promote a proactive culture where employees work safely and operational risks are effectively managed.
The ideal candidate is an experienced health and safety professional who can translate regulatory requirements, operational data, and field observations into practical programs, clear guidance, and measurable improvements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Risk Assessment and Hazard Control
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize health and safety hazards using operational experience, historical data, employee input, inspections, and other relevant sources.
  • Assess the likelihood and severity of potential incidents, exposures, and loss events.
  • Analyze incident reports, safety observations, and performance data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Recommend surveys, inspections, audits, appraisals, or targeted risk assessments based on operational needs and risk exposure. Program Development and Compliance Support
  • Develop, review, update, and deliver training on health and safety programs, standards, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Partner with operations leadership to embed safety expectations into day-to-day activities, productivity goals, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support implementation and oversight of key health and safety programs, including incident prevention, operational risk controls, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Monitor industry and regulatory developments and help prepare the organization for OSHA and other regulatory agency interactions. Training, Incident Management, and Corrective Action
  • Ensure incidents are reported to site and corporate management in accordance with company reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate, deliver, and maintain health and safety training records using GPiLearn and applicable site systems.
  • Lead or support investigations involving near misses, first aid events, recordable injuries, spills, security incidents, and other EHS events.
  • Apply root cause analysis methods and track corrective actions through completion to prevent recurrence. Performance Improvement and Leadership Support
  • Evaluate the effectiveness, cost, and performance of hazard control programs, systems, and improvement plans.
  • Support management accountability processes and audit programs that assess safety performance across sites and operations.
  • Track, measure, and analyze health and safety performance indicators and recommend practical actions for improvement.
  • Lead or support special projects and initiatives as assigned. What You Will Bring

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Education or experience in industrial hygiene.
  • Experience working in a power plant, energy, manufacturing, or other industrial operations environment.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, change management, or data-driven decision-making. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Position requires approximately 50% travel.
