Full Job Description
Head of Segment Marketing, IT Channel

Schneider Electric is seeking a commercially focused and collaborative Head of Segment Marketing to lead the marketing strategy for the IT Channel within the Secure Power Division. This leader will translate business priorities into scalable to-partner and for-partner marketing strategies that strengthen partner preference, improve partner readiness, and drive transactional growth to and with distributors, resellers, e-commerce partners, managed service providers, and solution providers.

The role serves as the marketing lead for the IT Channel segment, connecting partner insight, portfolio priorities, channel strategy, demand generation, and commercial execution. Success requires a strong understanding of indirect routes to market and the ability to turn business priorities into repeatable partner communications, enablement, campaigns, and digital motions that accelerate sell-in, sell-out, e-commerce, marketplace revenue, and adoption of software and services. The role works closely with the Channel Marketing team responsible for MDF program design and execution, but does not own or manage account-level MDF plans or programs.

This position works with the following key internal and external stakeholders:
  • Internal: IT Channel commercial leadership, channel sales, Channel Marketing, distribution and e-commerce teams, Secure Power commercial management, strategic marketing, product management, services, software, global and regional marketing, demand generation, digital, communications, marketing operations, and sales operations.
  • External: IT distributors, resellers, value-added resellers, e-commerce partners, managed service providers, systems integrators, solution providers, industry media, associations, agencies, and other IT channel ecosystem stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the IT Channel segment marketing strategy and annual plan, aligned with transactional growth priorities, partner needs, portfolio strategy, and regional commercial objectives.
  • Own the end-to-end to-partner marketing strategy, including the value proposition, communications, engagement, enablement, education, and experience required to make Schneider Electric easier and more profitable to do business with.
  • Own the for-partner marketing strategy by developing scalable campaigns, content, tools, and activation frameworks that partners can use to create demand, convert customers, increase basket value, and grow recurring revenue.
  • Drive measurable transactional growth across sell-in, sell-out, e-commerce, marketplace, and partner-led revenue by connecting marketing priorities to hero offers, promotions, digital shelf readiness, partner activation, and conversion.
  • Define priority partner audiences, motions, offers, use cases, routes to market, and investment choices across distributors, resellers, e-commerce partners, managed service providers, and solution providers.
  • Develop differentiated channel positioning, messaging, and value propositions that connect Schneider Electric's hardware, software, services, digital tools, sustainability, and AI-readiness capabilities to partner profitability and customer outcomes.
  • Partner with sales, demand generation, digital, e-commerce, product, and offer teams to build integrated push-pull programs that stimulate partner demand, improve conversion, and create repeatable transactional growth.
  • Collaborate with the Channel Marketing team responsible for MDF program design, governance, and execution to ensure MDF-enabled activities align with IT Channel strategy, priority campaigns, and measurable commercial outcomes; this role does not own or manage MDF marketing programs by account.
  • Coordinate global and regional launches, partner communications, events, digital programs, content, training, and advocacy to deliver a consistent IT Channel narrative and scalable partner experience.
  • Serve as the IT Channel marketing subject-matter expert and trusted advisor to channel, sales, and marketing leadership, representing partner and market needs in planning and prioritization decisions.
  • Establish objectives, KPIs, and operating rhythms for segment marketing; report on partner engagement, campaign adoption, sell-in, sell-out, e-commerce and marketplace revenue, software and services growth, and return on marketing investment.
  • Synthesize partner, distributor, customer, competitive, commercial, and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities and improve channel activation.
  • Develop scalable partner journeys and activation models across recruitment, onboarding, enablement, engagement, demand creation, conversion, retention, and advocacy.
  • Partner with marketing operations, sales operations, and channel teams to improve visibility into point-of-sale performance, campaign adoption, partner contribution, attribution, and transactional revenue impact.
  • Lead cross-functional workstreams and agency partners through clear priorities, deliverables, timelines, and performance expectations.
  • Provide indirect day-to-day leadership to a Program Manager, including setting priorities, clarifying deliverables, coordinating workload, removing roadblocks, and providing ongoing coaching, mentoring, and development support.

Experience:
  • 8+ years of progressive B2B marketing, channel marketing, segment marketing, product marketing, demand generation, e-commerce, partner programs, or sales experience.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing integrated partner marketing strategies that contribute to transactional revenue, partner engagement, market reach, or commercial performance.
  • Experience working with IT distributors, resellers, e-commerce partners, managed service providers, systems integrators, or other indirect sales channels strongly preferred.
  • Experience collaborating across channel sales, partner marketing, demand generation, product, digital, and operations teams in a matrix organization.

Skills:
  • Strong commercial orientation and practical understanding of indirect routes to market, partner economics, transactional marketing, and the factors that influence partner mindshare and sales velocity.
  • Ability to translate business priorities into clear, scalable to-partner and for-partner marketing strategies and activation plans.
  • Strong written, verbal, storytelling, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across executive, sales, marketing, and partner audiences.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority, align cross-functional stakeholders, and clarify roles and decision rights across adjacent teams.
  • Fluency in partner segmentation, channel communications, partner enablement, through-channel marketing, demand generation, digital commerce, and campaign activation.
  • Analytical discipline with the ability to define KPIs, interpret sell-in and sell-out data, assess partner and campaign performance, and make evidence-based investment recommendations.
  • Strong program, budget, and agency management skills, with a bias for scalable execution and measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple priorities and shared accountabilities.
  • Working knowledge of CRM, marketing automation, partner portals, digital commerce, analytics, and productivity platforms; experience with Salesforce or equivalent tools preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and external partners through influence is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field required.
