About the Job

We are seeking a Head of People to build and lead the people function at Mars Men. This person will partner closely with our Co-Founders and executive team to ensure we have the talent, organizational structure, leadership capabilities, and people practices required to support the company's continued growth.

The role will own the full employee lifecycle, with an immediate focus on recruiting, hiring, and strengthening people management across the organization. This leader will also develop scalable programs across performance management, employee development, compensation, engagement, people operations, and compliance. This is a hands-on role for someone who can operate as a trusted advisor to leadership while building and executing the systems that support a high-performing team.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and lead the company's people strategy in partnership with the Co-Founders and executive team, aligning organizational and talent priorities with business goals
  • Own recruiting and hiring across the organization, including workforce planning, role development, sourcing strategy, candidate assessment, offer management, and onboarding
  • Build and evolve performance management, employee development, and manager enablement practices that create clear expectations, accountability, and opportunities for growth
  • Coach managers and leaders on team effectiveness, feedback, performance, employee relations, and organizational change
  • Shape the employee experience across onboarding, engagement, communication, recognition, retention, and offboarding
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, people operations, HR systems, policies, and employment compliance for a distributed workforce
  • Use people data and employee feedback to identify trends, strengthen decision-making, and improve organizational effectiveness


Must-Have Requirements
  • 7+ years of progressive experience across People, HR, talent, or organizational leadership
  • Experience owning or helping build a people function within a high-growth or rapidly evolving organization
  • Strong recruiting experience, including leadership, specialized, and high-impact roles
  • Broad knowledge across performance management, manager development, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and HR operations
  • Strong judgment, communication, and ability to build trust with executives, managers, and employeesComfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience supporting a distributed or multistate workforce preferred
