  • Collaborate with engineering and materials teams to estimate and track product costs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In this position, you will be Leading the EA New Product Introduction (NPI) Launch team that will introduce new products into the manufacturing environment.You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, organizing manufacturing-related activities, and ensure objectives are accomplished to meet production ramp requirements. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic and operational leadership of the NPI team at the site, in close coordination and collaboration with the global NPI organization
  • Leading global manufacturing core teams on Test & Measurement instrument New Product Development (NPD) programs. 
  • Representing the Manufacturing organization on NPD core teams, and articulating program information and strategies back to Manufacturing management. 
  • Manage a team of New Product Development Manager(NPDM) and New Product Development Specialists (NPDS)
  • Responsible for the timely execution of NPI programs but team and individually managed programs
  • Ensure NPI launch metrics are achieved (Cost, timing, yields, compliance, etc.)
  • Coordinating development of program manufacturing, test, and materials plans. 
  • Working with engineering and materials teams to develop and track product cost estimates. 
  • Working with product development program manager to ensure available tooling and test equipment capacity to support manufacturing ramp and steady state production. 
  • Personal responsibility and team development

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate depth of knowledge and experience in: 

  • Several years of leadership experience in a new product launch (NPI) environment, ideally in industry/electrical engineering, in a comparable role
  • New Product Development processes. 
  • Ability to quickly drive, communicate and gain support for decisions in ambiguous and unstructured environments. 
  • Candidate should be a results-oriented team player who leads by example, holds one’s self accountable for performance, takes ownership, and champions process improvement initiatives. 
  • Manufacturing cost drivers at both Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and product level, and a deep understanding of how to influence those costs to maximize operational efficiency and gross margins. 
  • Strong English language written and verbal communication skills. 

Further Requirements: 

  • Masters degree in engineering or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of electronics manufacturing-related experience 
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 10% of the time
  • Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
  • MBA or equivalent is an advantage
  • PMI certification(s) are a plus
  • 5+ years of program/project management experience on complex products 
  • Microsoft Power BI suite of products
