A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Head of Manufacturing, you are responsible for leading an exceptional organization that produces and services Gimpel valves. Our product offers protection and safety to customers of steam turbine generators and API 611 & 612 steam turbine drives.

Gimpel is a fast-moving and growing business unit within the Steam Turbine & Generators (STG).

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Strengthening our Zero Harm safety culture by bringing in new perspective and enhanced focus
  • Demonstrate strong leadership which helps us continuously improve operational performance, grow our people and meet customer & business commitments
  • Lead and implement process optimization and lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Challenge status-quo and bring accountability where and when needed
  • Think beyond manufacturing and lead cross-functional efforts that will help us achieve high levels of performance and customer satisfaction
  • Take charge of customer critical issues and guide the team on how to navigate them while focusing on achieving desired outcome
  • Manage the financial aspects of the business such as absorption, utilization, revenue, non-conformance cost, Capex and Opex
  • Incorporate digital solutions within all areas of the business
  • Decisively taking actions to address performance or discipline issues
What You Bring
  • Successfully completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar
  • 5 or more years of demonstrated leadership in overseeing machining and assembly operations
  • 5 or more years of intercultural teams' management experience
  • Proven Lean Manufacturing implementation experience, certification in Lean is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills to different levels of the organization
  • Commitment to Safety as the strongest value in your team
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement activities and track record of delivering operational performance improvement, particularly in areas of OTD, quality and cost
