Full Job Description
Head of Finance, USA (Location: Beverly Hills, CA 90211) - Hybrid

Reports To: General Manager Finance (Sydney), with a dotted line to the SVP - USA (Beverly Hills)

We are looking for...

Hopefully, you! We're seeking a Head of Finance, USA to lead our finance function from our Beverly Hills, LA showroom (hybrid role). The US is our fastest growing market and we plan to double in size over the next three years, and quadruple within six. This is a genuine leadership role: you'll be our most senior finance person in the US, a member of the US management team, and the person who builds a finance function to match our ambitions. You'll lead a Finance Manager and an Accountant, backed by our wider finance team in Sydney, and you'll play a big part in developing them. We like to grow our own talent wherever we can.

The Head of Finance's key responsibilities will include:
  • Owning financial reporting for the US business and leading us through our first external audit at the end of the fiscal year
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and business planning as we open new showrooms and grow our team, including investment appraisal and capex management
  • Managing banking, treasury and cash flow, including FX exposure on our largely Euro-denominated inventory purchases
  • Keeping us compliant across a growing footprint, including sales tax (we use Avalara) and payroll (we use Paylocity) across multiple states, and managing our external accountants and advisors
  • Making sure we get value for money from our vendors and competitive prices for goods and services
  • Business partnering with the SVP - USA and the US management team to turn numbers into good decisions
  • Leading, coaching and developing the US finance team
  • Improving our data, systems and processes (we use NetSuite and Salesforce and are investing heavily in AI)

We need you to bring...
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
  • A CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
  • Around 7+ years of post-qualification experience across financial accounting and financial planning
  • A track record of building and developing teams
  • The appetite to be hands-on in a fast-growing, multi-site business
  • A genuine interest in data, systems and continuous improvement
  • Experience preparing for and managing an external audit
  • Please note that we require full permanent working rights for this position.

In return, we'll give you...

Perks, benefits and the space to grow. We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package and plenty of opportunities for career growth and development. This includes:
  • Company laptop and company phone provided
  • 20 days PTO
  • 10 paid holidays (plus your birthday!)
  • Paid parental leave, so we can look after you while you welcome a new human
  • A 50% off employee discount on Eco Outdoor products
  • Full health benefits offered
  • 401(k) plan with 4% max employer match
  • Annual performance bonus
  • A culture of unbelievable hospitality
  • Opportunities to grow, develop and craft a career you're proud of within the global Eco Outdoor business
  • The opportunity to give back via our Social Housing and Sustainability initiatives
  • Salary Range: $165,000 - $185,000 + bonus
