Role Overview:

Golfballs.com is seeking a Finance & Accounting Leaderto oversee and elevate the company's financial strategy, accounting operations,reporting, and overall financial infrastructure.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for helping guide the companythrough its next phase of growth by serving as a key financial thought partnerto the CEO and leadership team. This leader will play a critical role inshaping company strategy, improving financial visibility, supportingdata-driven decision-making, and building scalable financial systems andprocesses that support long-term growth.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial and accounting expertise withstrategic thinking, analytical rigor, and a modern technology mindset. Thisrole requires someone who embraces innovation, leverages automation and AItools to improve efficiency and insight, and collaborates closely withTechnology and business leaders to help build a more data-driven organization.

The title and level of this role (VP-CFO) will be determined based on thecandidate's experience, leadership background, and demonstrated impact.

Financial Leadership & Strategy
• Lead the company's overall finance andaccounting functions
• Serve as a trusted financial advisor and thoughtpartner to the CEO and leadership team
• Develop financial strategies that supportsustainable growth, profitability, and scalability
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, long-rangeplanning, and financial modeling
• Deliver clear recommendations and decision-readyinsights-not just reporting and analysis
• Help reduce executive decision burden throughstructured financial modeling, prioritization, and actionable recommendations
• Drive accountability around EBITDA performance,profitability improvement, and financial discipline across the organization
• Translate financial and operational data intoactionable business insights and strategic recommendations
• Provide leadership-level reporting, analysis,and decision support across the organization
• Partner with leadership to improve visibilityinto business performance, forecasting accuracy, and financial discipline
• Help evaluate investments, growth initiatives,and strategic opportunities through disciplined financial analysis
• Lead board, lender, and banking reportingprocesses and communication cadence
• Drive a culture of data-driven decision-makingacross the organization

Accounting & Financial Operations
• Oversee all accounting operations includinggeneral ledger, AP/AR, payroll, inventory accounting, and month-end close
• Lead corporate accounts receivable creditunderwriting and collections processes
• Own and manage the company's multi-state salesand use tax compliance program
• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financialreporting
• Maintain a culture of high financial accuracyand accountability with strong system-driven controls and zero-tolerance formaterial reporting errors
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls,accounting policies, and financial governance practices
• Manage relationships with external auditors, taxadvisors, banks, and other financial partners
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and localreporting requirements
• Oversee cash management, treasury functions, andworking capital optimization
• Improve close processes, reporting accuracy, andfinancial operational efficiency

Operational Finance & Business Partnership
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations,Technology, Sales, Marketing, and eCommerce teams to support strategicdecision-making
• Develop KPI frameworks and reporting dashboardsthat improve visibility into company performance
• Analyze business performance, margins, customeracquisition economics, inventory efficiency, and profitability drivers
• Drive financial visibility into marginperformance, EBITDA improvement opportunities, and business profitability
• Support pricing, inventory planning, and growthinitiatives through financial modeling and analysis
• Provide leadership with actionable insights intoperformance trends, risks, and opportunities
• Partner with department leaders to improvefinancial accountability and decision-making quality across the organization
• Support operational planning and strategicinitiatives through thoughtful financial analysis, forecasting, andrecommendation development

Systems, Technology & Scalability
• Champion adoption of modern financialtechnologies, automation, and AI-driven tools across finance and accountingworkflows
• Partner closely with the Technology team toimprove systems integrations, reporting capabilities, data accessibility, andbusiness intelligence
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI andautomation to improve reporting accuracy, forecasting, efficiency, anddecision-making
• Help build scalable financial systems andinfrastructure that support long-term company growth
• Build scalable financial processes and systemcontrols designed to improve data integrity, reporting consistency, andoperational confidence
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommendsolutions that improve financial visibility and organizational effectiveness
• Drive continuous process improvement acrossfinance and accounting operations

Leadership & Team Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance andaccounting team
• Create a culture of accountability, ownership,and continuous improvement
• Foster strong cross-functional collaborationacross the organization
• Build organizational trust through accuracy,transparency, responsiveness, and strategic insight
• Collaborate effectively across all levels of thecompany

Required Qualifications:
• Proven leadership experience in finance andaccounting roles
• Demonstrated ability to act as a strategicbusiness partner to executive leadership
• Strong expertise in financial planning andanalysis (FP&A), accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, cash flowmanagement, financial modeling, and business analytics
• Strong systems orientation with enthusiasm fortechnology, automation, and AI-enabled tools
• Experience improving reporting, workflows, anddecision-making through technology adoption
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and operational rigor
• Ability to balance strategic thinking withhands-on execution
• Excellent communication and cross-functionalleadership skills

Preferred
• Experience in e-commerce, retail, consumerproducts, or distribution environments
• Experience with inventory-intensive businesses
• Experience leading finance in a growth-orientedor entrepreneurial company
• CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Experience implementing or optimizingERP/accounting systems
• Experience managing banking and lendingrelationships
• Experience preparing organizations for futurescale, acquisitions, or strategic transactions
