Pay Range $150,000 - $164,000

Job Description Responsible for the management and administration of the Women's Ice Hockey program in a manner that is in alignment with the mission, values and goals of the Athletics Department.
Responsibilities include creating a highly competitive environment with specific responsibilities in the following areas: recruiting, practice and game planning, developing student-athletes, academic accountability for student-athletes, fiscal responsibility, alumni engagement, scheduling, compliance with policies/procedures/relevant rules, and oversight of assigned staff.
Oversee the recruitment and selection of prospective student-athletes. Ensure compliance with all relevant NCAA guidelines pertaining to the recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
Provide leadership and instruction in the personal, academic and athletic development of student-athletes. Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes by working closely with the compliance and academic staff.
Arrange for a competitive competition schedule that places the team in a position to qualify for NCAA Championship competition.
Supervise assistant coaches and other staff that report to the Head Coach. Assist in fundraising as requested by administration.
Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred.
- Demonstrated successful leadership experience required.
- Track record of a strong commitment to a positive student-athlete experience and ensuring student-athlete welfare is paramount.
- 5-8 years of overall experience preferred.
Skills and Knowledge - Experience coaching in intercollegiate athletics.
- Excellent written, interpersonal and oral communication skills is required.
- Must work effectively with faculty, staff and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities - Management and administration of the Women's Ice Hockey program. Includes providing leadership for staff, student-athletes and others and fiscal management of the program.
- Schedule and conduct regular season practice, strength and conditioning, a competition schedule.
- Oversee all practices and attend all competitions.
- Recruit prospective student-athletes that are academically and athletically prepared to contribute at Syracuse University.
- Conduct a program that is compliance with NCAA rules and regulations and submit all relevant paperwork to the Compliance Office as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
