Standard Job DescriptionThe WorkLockheed Martin is seeking an engineering leader to lead a team of approximately 20 Power Engineers based in Moorestown, NJ and Syracuse, NY. This L-coded leadership role will execute system power engineering across our Radar Systems and Solutions product portfolios.
You will:
Lead, mentor, develop, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
Manage recruitment, training, performance, work assignments, recognition, and employee development.
Direct the research, design, development, integration, and testing of COTS and custom computing hardware, power systems, and electrical components.
Oversee designs for component installation into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, customer facilities, and shelters.
Plan and review engineering documentation to ensure customer, contractual, and company requirements are met.
Establish specifications, evaluate vendors, and analyze test results.
Partner with program managers, systems engineers, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical challenges.
Balance technical priorities, workforce needs, schedules, and program commitments across multiple programs.
Travel periodically to Syracuse, NY as needed.
Who You AreYou're an experienced engineering leader who combines technical depth with a passion for developing people. You bring experience in electrical, power, hardware, or systems engineering; strong leadership and communication skills; and the ability to manage competing priorities across complex programs and locations.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field + minimum 10 years relevant professional engineering experience.
- Demonstrated competence in managing cross-disciplinary teams with a strong understanding of hardware engineering processes and the hardware engineering product life cycle.
- Experience in strategic development and the development of strategic relations.
- Experience in earned value, schedule, cost, and risk management techniques.
- Experience managing complex technical systems, programs and IRAD projects.
- Experience driving strategic engineering activities,i.e. technology road maps.
- Experience executing on IRAD/CRAD contracts
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security Clearance at the Secret level
Desired Skills-Prior people management experience inlcuding leading, movitating and coaching a team.
-Experience communicating at both programmatic and technical levels with subordinates, senior management levels and the customer.
- Technical graduate degree is highly desirable.
- Experience working with subcontractors and vendors.
- Occasional travel is required, must be willing to travel.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
