Role: Hadoop Admin
Location: North Brunswick, NJ
Duration: Long Term
This role will focus on managing and resolving issues in alignment with the SLAs as well as establishing and maintaining communication with technology customers to keep them updated with the status of their requests. They will also initiate and perform changes on production systems and proactively escalating any issues that cannot be resolved within the established timeframes.
The Senior Hadoop Admin will join our Hadoop admin tesm consisting of several Hadoop Adminstrators, both in the US and also in India.
This team will be responsible for supporting the platform and solving any issues as they arise.
They will also be responsible for infrastructure optimization, capacity planning, automating the monitoring, handling deployments, and the certification of new components and capabilities.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Reviewing service related reports on a daily basis to ensure related issues are identified and resolved within established timelines
• Respondong to HADOOP related alerts and escalations and working with database engineering to come up with strategic solutions to recurring problems
• Manage scalable HADOOP cluster environments
• Manage the backup and disaster recovery for HADOOP data
• Provide off hours support on a rotational basis.
