H-47 Chinook Systems Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior)

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level or Senior System Engineers to join the H-47 Chinook Technical Integration team located in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.

The successful candidate will support projects that interface with a complex network of internal and external stakeholders including engineering, customers, suppliers, program managers, supply chain managers, contracts representatives, etc. to drive successful execution of program/project work scope. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Supports internal and external customers to identify requirements and support their needs
  • Applies general knowledge of various engineering disciplines to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues
  • Resolves technical issues through coordination with Engineering, Product Support, Contracts, and Program Management
  • Manages deliverables by defining plans for risk mitigation, issues, and opportunities; and monitoring baseline plans to assess project performance, productivity, and lessons learned
  • Leads the creation and management of Change Requests and supports other change owners on the team within the organization
  • Leads the development of customer proposals
  • Briefs customers and leadership on all technical aspects of the program
  • Standardization, development, and documents processes
  • Domestic and/or international travel as required to support program execution

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 3+ years of engineering experience
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

  • 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc)
  • Experience in a customer facing role engaging with internal and/or external customers
  • Experience with engineering project planning or project management
  • Experience with collaborating across functions and organizations
  • Experience coordinating with multiple teams, Organizing large design reviews or technical meetings
  • Experience developing and tracking program plans, schedules and budgets for technical projects
  • Experience with proposal development and contract negotiations
  • Experience working directly with government customers
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
