About the role
As a Guidewire InsuranceNow QA Engineer, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of Guidewire InsuranceNow applications through comprehensive testing, automation, and validation of platform enhancements, integrations, and releases. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with Developers, Business Analysts, Technical Leads, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.

In this role, you will:
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and automation test scenarios for InsuranceNow enhancements and releases.
• Validate InsuranceNow configurations, including policy lifecycle processes, rating rules, underwriting workflows, endorsements, renewals, and forms generation.
• Test and verify API integrations, REST services, JSON payloads, database transactions, and external system interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review requirements, define test strategies, identify defects, and ensure successful release delivery.
• Support Agile delivery practices, UAT activities, production validations, test automation initiatives, and continuous quality improvement.

What you need to have to be considered
• Experience testing Guidewire InsuranceNow implementations and enhancements.
• Strong expertise in test planning, test case development, defect management, and quality assurance best practices.
• Experience with automation and performance testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Java, JUnit, K6, or similar technologies.
• Experience validating REST APIs, JSON payloads, integration workflows, and database transactions using SQL.
• Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies and test management/defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, test automation lifecycle management, and object-oriented test automation frameworks.
• Understanding of Property & Casualty insurance processes, including policy creation, rating and underwriting, endorsements, renewals, billing, payments, and policy documentation.

These will help you stand out
• Strong understanding of Guidewire InsuranceNow platform configuration and integration testing.
• Experience supporting regression testing during platform upgrades and production releases.
• Hands-on experience investigating production issues and supporting root cause analysis activities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with a focus on continuous quality improvement.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until July 30, 2026
The annual salary for this position is between $71,100- $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
