Full Job Description
The Group Insurance Billing Analyst role encompasses the Collections and Billing efforts for a large group insurance provider. This fast paced and complex role requires strong account management skills, independent critical thinking, fast learning skills, and high organization skills. This is a highly client facing role, which requires a level of executive awareness to represent Accenture as a favorable vendor.

The Group Insurance Billing Analyst has the following responsibilities:
  • Accountable for collection efforts and billing related customer issues and supporting through coordinated efforts with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to utilize strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities while working under tight time constraints, possesses ability to work through ambiguity, and work effectively with various vendors with strong interpersonal skills
  • Support receivable and suspense management over an assigned book of business consisting of mid-level or complex customers
  • Able to conduct client calls to work through billing issues, answer questions and manage next steps with meeting minutes & follow ups
  • Able to work cohesively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support the national billing day to day tasks, able to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex issues/problems
  • Able to escalate, communicate risk issues to supervisor and help with the resolution
  • Able to understand root causes for customer dissatisfaction and recommend new tools and/or articulating how existing tools can improve overall customer satisfaction
  • Expected to adhere to client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and department product key performance requirements and any reporting
  • Basic understanding of how new business, enrollment and eligibility impacts the billing function


Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in billing, accounts receivable (A/R), reconciliation, and/or collections
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a client facing or highly skilled customer service role


Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong experience researching, resolving, tracking and following up on financial issues/inquiries such as outstanding balances
  • Direct customer service issue resolution and client interaction experience
  • Prior experience in Group Insurance Billing and/or Medical/Insurance Billing
  • Experience with payment allocation software
  • Experience with MS Excel to include Reporting, Reconciling, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS
