SUMMARY Manages the day-to-day operations of Kansas City Grease Plant Operations. Provides general management regarding project finance, order fulfillment, raw material procurement, manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance/control, human resources, and information systems for a plant or other production facility. Makes decisions regarding maintaining and improving plant culture, safety, environmental stewardship, productivity, and quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES - Promote and build plant culture around the Martin Guiding Principles.
- Manage the recruitment and proper staffing levels of all departments within the plant.
- Review and make recommendations regarding the development and training plans of plant employees.
- Make recommendations to senior management regarding policy and enforcement.
- Ensure the safety of all employees and commitment to "No Harm" and "Zero Is Attainable" EHS goals.
- Make sure that all plant and company policies are followed, violations reported, and corrective actions taken.
- Secure raw materials and make sure the plant has everything on hand to fill production schedule while meeting inventory management goals (4-5X turn).
- Ensure employee compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Plan the production, shipping, and blending schedules to successfully reach 98% OTIF customer commitment.
- Ensure CAPEX projects are completed on-time and on-budget.
- Keep the plant compliant with all local and state regulations.
Job RequirementsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Chemical Processing,Sciences, or a related field.
Lubricants or Grease experience.
5 - 10 years of hands on Production and Plant Management experience in blow molding of bottles, custom blow molded products, cosmetic blow molded products, or automotive blow molded products.
8 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude in expected.

Experience and knowledge of plastics including injection molding processes and blow molding processes.
Experience and knowledge of mechanical piping systems including compressed air and cooling water
Sound technical skills and the ability to set blow molds, run production, trouble shoot, do sample runs, understand needed tooling changes to bring parts to print, and so forth.
Conduct business of a High sense of Urgency
Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for production efficiency analysis and communication and procedure writing.
