A Typical DayAs the Graduate Medical Education Manager, you'll serve as a key institutional resource supporting GME operations, accreditation, finance, and strategic initiatives. Your responsibilities may include:
- Managing GMEC logistics, ACGME data submissions, and accreditation-related activities across sponsored programs.
- Partnering with the Institutional GME Coordinator to capture, document, and standardize institutional knowledge and core GME processes.
- Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) to promote consistency and reduce single-point-of-failure risk across GME operations.
- Cross-training in Medicare DGME/IME tracking, GME cost reporting, and funding models in partnership with Rutgers Health.
- Serving as backup to the GME Finance Coordinator to support continuity of CMS reporting and other financial responsibilities.
- Maintaining familiarity with New Innovations administration and program-level accreditation metrics.
- Leading institutional GME initiatives, including new program development, simulation integration, and faculty development programming.
- Supporting the standardization of GME policies and workflows across all 16 specialties.
- Partnering with Program Directors and Program Coordinators to support accreditation readiness and effective program administration.
- Serving as a strategic resource to the Chief Academic Officer regarding training program expansion and academic enterprise growth.
- Collaborating with RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Health GME leadership to support policy alignment, reporting, and institutional priorities.

To Be ConsideredQualified candidates will possess:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of three (3) years of Graduate Medical Education coordinator experience required
- Active TAGME certification required or must be obtained within 12 months of hire
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with ACGME institutional requirements
- Understanding of GME finance fundamentals
- Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physician leaders, Program Directors, Program Coordinators, academic leadership, and external partners
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and develop standardized processes across multiple programs
Preferred qualifications include:- Previous experience within a multi-program, institutionally sponsored academic medical center
- Experience with new innovations
- Experience developing SOPs, policies, or standardized workflows across multiple departments or training programs
