The Opportunity
As the GPF Business Partner, you will serve as a critical strategic architect for the Genentech Patient Foundation (GPF, an independent, non-profit 501c3) leveraging deep knowledge of market dynamics to shape and evolve the patient experience. You will translate patient journey insights into actionable strategies and communicate strategic needs directly to the GPF Board of Directors. In this role, you will:
Develop a deep understanding of new and emerging patient needs through frontline GPF engagement and market research.
Lead ongoing market scanning to identify opportunities to expand, adapt, or elevate GPF offerings through focus on GPF Strategic Planning.
Communicate patient outcomes and strategic insights to the GPF Board to guide executive decision-making.
Co-lead the GPF Board Advisory Committee, developing and presenting high-impact recommendations to senior leadership.
Manage GPF strategic planning for new product launches, line extensions, and potential product sunsetting.
Partner cross-functionally with Experience Design, PAA departments such as External Affairs and Corporate Communications, Population Health, and other Patient Experience teams to ensure the "voice of the patient"and health impact goals drive long-term roadmaps.
Serve as a primary subject matter expert on the GPF patient experience to senior leadership across Roche and Genentech.
Who you are
Hold a Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (advanced degree preferred).
Possess 15+ years of professional industry experience within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.
Bring a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and entities impacting the patient access journey.
Demonstrate strong executive presence, storytelling, and communication skills with the proven ability to lead without authority.
Have a proven track record of strategic planning, trade-off decision-making, and driving alignment across matrixed organizations.
Preferred
Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, or relevant MS/PhD).
Experience designing patient experiences and navigating complex patient access or Foundation structures.
Familiarity with leveraging data and digital technology platforms to optimize patient outcomes and work flow.
Demonstrated capability in leading effectively through highly ambiguous, evolving environments.
Location
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of CA is $166,400 - 309,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
