Your key responsibilities As one of our finance advisors, you'll help crucial government departments and agencies continuously achieve and sustain performance improvement in a rapidly changing environment. Key responsibilities of the position include:
Establishing, maintaining and strengthening internal and external relationships
Creating innovative insights for clients and contributing to thought leadership

To qualify for the role you must have A bachelor's degree and approximately five years of relevant work experience; or a master's degree with an emphasis on Organizational Development or other related field and approximately four years of relevant work experience
Minimum of five years relevant experience in federal financial management, risk management, leading standards (e.g., SFFAS, OMB), preparing written or verbal materials, presenting project results to clients, leading a team, providing formal feedback
Knowledge and experience working for a federal or state agency in the following areas:
Cost accounting, cost management or managerial accounting
Cost analysis and cost modeling
Cost optimization
Activity-based costing
Cost-benefit analysis, business case analysis
Cost studies
Performance measurement or performance management
Performance metrics and measures development
Benchmarking and gap analysis
Cost reduction or cost efficiency
Business performance reporting
Balanced scorecard
Federal budget process
Planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE)
ERP systems, consolidation tools and Reporting/BI platforms
Demonstrated experience in business development
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to obtain and maintain a [secret/public trust] clearance or higher.
The EY Government and Public Sector Practice's staffing model is to assign resources to projects aligned to the office within the metropolitan area you have been hired; however, in certain circumstances, travel may be required within and/or beyond your geographic region based on client and project needs. For roles within the federal practice, the flexibility to travel up to approximately 30% is preferred. Within the state, local and education practice, the flexibility to travel up to approximately 80% is preferred.

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $128,400 to $235,300. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $154,000 to $267,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
