What Will You Contribute?The Global Solution Consulting (GSC) team works closely with Teciem's Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Professional Services, Customer Support, and partner ecosystem to drive business growth through
consultative presales, solution design, demonstrations, and RFI/RFP management.
Teciem is looking for a
customer-focused Solution Consultant with strong financial markets expertise across the buy-side and/or sell-side to support our growth across North and South America.
The role will focus primarily on:
- Sophis, our front-to-back platform supporting sophisticated trading and risk management activities, with particular strength in equity and commodity derivatives.
- Sophis Invest, our investment management platform supporting asset managers, institutional investors, and insurance organizations across the investment lifecycle.
You will work alongside Sales to understand client challenges, shape compelling solutions, and demonstrate how Teciem can deliver measurable business value. You will engage directly with prospects, customers, partners, and internal stakeholders across
discovery, opportunity qualification, solution design, demonstrations, RFI/RFP responses, and deal execution.
This is a highly visible, client-facing role for someone who combines
financial markets expertise, technology understanding, commercial awareness, and strong storytelling skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Partner with Sales throughout the full opportunity lifecycle, from initial discovery and qualification through solution definition, demonstrations, workshops, RFI/RFP responses, and deal closure.
- Lead consultative discovery sessions with business, trading, investment, risk, operations, finance, architecture, security, and technology stakeholders to understand the client's current environment, strategic priorities, constraints, and decision criteria.
- Translate client requirements into a clear and differentiated solution strategy and value proposition.
- Own the end-to-end demonstration strategy, including storyline, use cases, environment readiness, datasets, delivery, question management, and follow-up for business, technical, and executive audiences.
- Prepare and coordinate high-quality RFI/RFP responses that clearly position Teciem's capabilities against the client's key business and technical evaluation criteria.
- Develop solution design documentation for internal and client audiences, including application architecture, data flows, integrations, functional coverage, and solution assumptions.
- Coordinate across Product, Professional Services, Managed Services, Security, Commercial, Support, and partners to ensure proposed solutions are coherent, deliverable, supportable, and commercially viable.
- Support regional and global go-to-market campaigns, tailoring messaging, demonstrations, and value propositions to the Americas market.
- Maintain and continuously improve demonstration environments, scripts, datasets, discovery guides, competitive positioning, RFI/RFP content, and reusable solution assets.
- Stay current on product capabilities, roadmap developments, market trends, and competitive differentiators.
- Act as a voice of the Americas market and our clients, providing Product Management with insight into client requirements, market trends, competitive dynamics, and roadmap priorities.
- Help customers and prospects understand the business value and capabilities of Sophis and Sophis Invest through compelling presentations, demonstrations, and workshops.
- Travel across the Americas based on customer, partner, and opportunity requirements.
Knowledge and Skills- Strong understanding of buy-side and/or sell-side financial markets, ideally across front, middle, and back office functions.
- Knowledge of areas such as OTC and listed equity derivatives, commodities, annuities and insurance investments, asset and fund management, pricing and valuation, position management, P&L, market and counterparty risk, limits, settlement, accounting, and reporting.
- Good understanding of solution architecture, integrations, APIs, data flows, enterprise deployment models, cloud and SaaS concepts, managed services, non-functional requirements, and implementation dependencies.
- Excellent consultative discovery skills with the ability to translate business challenges into solution requirements and business value.
- Strong presentation, demonstration, executive storytelling, and written communication skills.
- Experience preparing and managing complex RFI/RFP responses.
- Strong commercial judgment, with the ability to balance customer value, competitive differentiation, solution integrity, delivery feasibility, risk, and deal momentum.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and lead virtual cross-functional teams across regions and time zones.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders ranging from traders, portfolio managers, risk managers, and operations teams to CIOs, CTOs, and senior executives.
Experience- Typically 3+ years of relevant experience in financial markets technology, banking, asset management, life insurance, consulting, implementation, product management, solution architecture, or solution consulting.
- Hands-on experience with Sophis and/or Sophis Invest is highly desirable. Experience with comparable capital markets or investment management platforms will also be considered.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise software sales cycles, including discovery, solution design, demonstrations, fit-gap analysis, RFI/RFP responses, workshops, and executive presentations.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across Sales, Product, Services, Technology, and client organizations.
- A creative and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to develop innovative approaches to complex customer requirements.
- High levels of autonomy and ownership, with the ability to identify issues early and propose actionable solutions.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines and multiple parallel opportunities.
- Commitment to applying and continuously improving presales methodologies and processes across the opportunity lifecycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Professional fluency in English is required; Spanish fluency is strongly preferred for engagement across the Americas.
- Willingness to travel regularly as required for customer and partner engagements.
Education and Certifications- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
