You Are: You are an expert Finance Leader with extensive experience in finance strategy development, deliver enterprise finance transformations and is a recognized subject matter expert in the Energy industry. You would bring rich transferable experience across the Corporate Finance - FP&A, Operational Finance, Treasury, Accounting and business partnering. You are someone that has verifiable track record in improving processes, operating models, optimizing data and technology.
The Work: Client & Market facing (60% approx.)
- Works on one or multiple assigned strategic client pursuits and lead a complex delivery at rapid pace to meet client needs and agreed upon contractual objectives
- Responsible for end-to-end delivery of the project as accountable delivery leader across - Business, Process, Technical objectives and at required contract metrics
- Own the end-to-end technical and functional architecture of EPM implementations across consolidation, planning, reporting, and close management.
- Lead discovery workshops with CFO, Controller, and finance leadership to capture business requirements and translate them into architectural blueprints.
- Evaluate and select Marketplace solutions, custom extensions, and third-party tools aligned with business needs.
- Lead technical and functional reviews, ensuring solution quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Serve as escalation point for complex technical and functional issues during implementation and post-go-live.
- Transform user requirements into a comprehensive EPM design utilizing object-oriented principles to create fully extensible applications.
- Lead clients and team members through all aspects of consulting and delivery phases including discovery, visioning, blueprinting, requirement gathering, design, process transformation, system configuration, testing, deployment, support, and value realization.
- Guide and mentor project resources across project(s)
Build and Maintain Industry Asset (20% approx.)
- Define the Energy Industry specific Go to Market approach for comprehensive Finance Transformation initiatives
- Collaborate with Accenture Finance Reinvention Studio leaders to align the offerings
- Define Process, Functional and Technical best practices
- Define software, platform and product strategies aligned to our offerings and mapped to client needs
- Develop and manage market-leading technology assets, products and services specifically catered to the Energy Industry.
- Build and deliver adjacent Energy industry assets to differentiate ourselves to sell and deliver
- In collaboration with the Industry and Functional leaders, lead the commercialization and Sales of the solutions
- Obtain client references that may be leveraged to grow our market presence.
Business Development (20% approx.)
- Generate new business leads, respond to RFP's work with the energy practice leader to incorporate the assets into proposals, participate in Orals and progress the deal pursuit through closure
Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary based on client needs but expect this to be a maximum of 70% depending on business need and client requirements.
Here's what you need: - Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Finance Transformation expert in the Energy Industry
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with software selection, full life cycle implementation
- Minimum of 2 years working knowledge and expertise in the performance management function (consolidations or planning
- Experience working with AI, GenAI, machine learning, and automation and their current applications
- Deep functional expertise in Finance, including accounting, FP&A, reporting, and data & analytics-coupled with a strong understanding of Finance's interdependencies across the enterprise
- Experience working with major enterprise transformations driven by technology implementations (ERP, EPM), cost take-out initiatives, and/or operating model changes
- Demonstrated ability to lead high impact engagements including complex stakeholder environments, cross-functional teams, and executive-level sponsorship, with accountability for business outcomes
- Experience in leading enterprise solutioning workshops and guiding senior executives through ambiguity, change resistance, and prioritization tradeoffs.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate's Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience
Bonus points if:- You have an MBA or other advanced degree (including accounting designations such as CPA)
- You've worked with or are conversant in Finance technology and data solutions across accounting, tax, treasury, planning, and reporting & analytics.
- You have experience both in Strategy Consulting and Industry roles
- You have experience designing and implementing enterprise operating models
