Job Purpose

The Global EOS Coach serves as the primary coach, mentor, and change agent for the EnerSys Operating System (EOS) across manufacturing sites, distribution centers, and support functions globally. This role drives EOS maturity, develops leadership capability, strengthens problem-solving culture, accelerates digital transformation, and ensures EOS tools are applied where they create the most business value. The position partners with plant, regional, and functional leaders to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity, and People Development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Core EOS Expectations

-Maintain a strong EOS foundation through MDI, Accountability Tags, HeyDo, Visual Management, Standard Work, RCCA, and established EOS methods.
-Focus EOS activities on solving real business problems and delivering measurable operational results.
-Build ownership, problem-solving capability, and leadership skills at all organizational levels.
-Drive collaboration, best-practice sharing, and learning across global locations.
-Promote continuous improvement, innovation, digital technologies, and AI-enabled solutions.
-Improve both direct business results and preventive performance measures including safety, quality, reliability, and scrap reduction.

Key Responsibilities

-Coach and develop EOS Managers, EOS Coordinators, plant leadership teams, and operational leaders globally.
-Conduct EOS maturity assessments, leadership observations, Gemba walks, and sustainment reviews.
-Lead deployment and sustainment of EOS playbooks, House of EOS standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.
-Facilitate Kaizen events, Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), Value Stream Mapping, and A3 problem solving.
-Ensure EOS resources are focused on the highest-value opportunities affecting Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity.
-Partner with operations, engineering, supply chain, quality, EHS, finance, and HR leaders to execute transformation plans.
-Drive accountability culture through effective use of Accountability Tags, action management systems, and leader standard work.
-Develop succession pipelines and talent growth plans for EOS professionals and site leadership.
-Support executive reviews, governance processes, and global EOS performance reporting.

Digital Transformation & AI Leadership

-Champion digital transformation initiatives that improve operational effectiveness, decision-making, and problem solving.
-Leverage HeyDo and other digital EOS platforms as the backbone for accountability, project management, and sustainment.
-Drive development and adoption of Power BI dashboards for KPI visualization, operational reviews, EOS maturity tracking, and executive reporting.
-Identify, evaluate, and deploy AI solutions that improve safety, quality, productivity, root-cause analysis, knowledge management, and decision support.
-Partner with Digital EOS, IT, Operations, and Business Leaders to scale data-driven continuous improvement solutions globally.
-Develop organizational capabilities in data analytics, digital workflows, automation, and AI-enabled problem solving.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence certification preferred.
• 7+ years of manufacturing, operations, supply chain, continuous improvement, or operational excellence experience.
• Demonstrated success leading Lean transformations across multiple sites or regions.
• Experience coaching leaders and developing continuous improvement cultures.
• Strong knowledge of EOS, Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System, or comparable operating systems.
• Experience with Power BI dashboard development, KPI analytics, and management reporting.
• Knowledge of digital manufacturing technologies, automation, AI applications, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
• Strong project management, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to influence without authority in a global matrix organization.
• Willingness to travel globally as required.
