About the Role

The Global Delivery Lead for SBU Connectivity oversees all customer delivery. You will lead a 660+ people organization, responsible for the full delivery of complex automotive projects through OEMs worldwide, in strong partnership with HARMAN's sales organization & SBU Business leaders in the regions. In this capacity you report directly to the Senior Vice President of the Connectivity SBU. You are passionate about increasing speed and quality through adoption of state-of-the art tools and methodologies. In the regions we do business in you are responsible for the teams that deliver directly to our customers. You and your team play a key role in creating and maintaining productized assets, while partnering with our product organization to deliver Consumer Experiences Automotive Grade across the connectivity landscape.

Your Team

This position will have 3 direct reports who each lead a large global organization in the areas of Program Delivery, SW Delivery and Test & Validation.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the SBU Connectivity Delivery organization in providing customer specific engineering and delivery through uniform regional organizations in Europe, North America, Japan and India
  • Deliver products and maximize product and core asset usage through close collaboration with the product organization
  • Deploy business acumen beyond satisfying customers towards a joint business ownership mindset w/ products leadership team
  • Co-own financial success on a program and customer level with the sales & business leads. Drive financial performance to the level agreed upon in business cases and near and long financial plans
  • Partner with the engineering excellence implementation team to drive agreed upon excellence throughout the organization with urgency. Passionately drive the team to use benchmark tools and methodologies
  • Build strong working partnerships with the broader sales organization and specifically the Customer Program Management organization
  • Build strong partnerships with engineering organizations at customers to drive customer satisfaction on current developments and synthesize inputs for future products


What You Need to Be Successful
  • Clearly demonstrated recent technical and cultural transformation of large, geographically distributed engineering teams to use agreed upon methodologies and tools to develop complex HW+SW systems at consumer speed. Automotive experience preferred
  • Demonstrated proof points of successfully bringing together engineering and sales organizations to deliver programs on time, on budget, with required quality
  • Demonstrated financial experience to drive customer near and long-term profitability with the sales organization, as well as adherence to development KPIs
  • Proven track record leading an organization responsible for multi-million dollar of annual revenue to agreed upon financial metrics, while continuously driving financial efficiency and cost measures across a full P&L
  • Shown the ability through clear examples of building a workable mixed model between custom and product-based developments in a matrixed organization
  • Transformational leadership.
  • Ability to act as role model and drive the adoption of Harman target culture and leadership framework
  • Customer success mindset

What Makes You Eligible
  • Your teams and customers are global. Your travel is estimated at 50%, both domestically and internationally
  • HARMAN Automotive operates with a mix of in-person and virtual meetings. The virtual meetings will require you to be flexible outside normal working hours to accommodate the global nature of your team and our customers
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
  • You are able to clearly communicate in English. Bonus if also bilingual in German &/or Japanese
  • Because this is a hybrid role, commuting to our local office will be required each week.
