This role requires a leader who can seamlessly balance client relationship management, operational excellence, organizational leadership, and large-scale change management within a complex, matrixed global environment.

The client has a distinct culture, collaborative decision-making process, and high expectations for partnership excellence. Success in this role requires a highly engaged, client-first leader who can build trust across executive stakeholders, lead through influence, and inspire teams through periods of transformation.

The Global Alliance Director will be responsible for operationalizing the contract, driving global consistency, strengthening team engagement, and ensuring exceptional delivery across North America, EMEA, and APAC.

This role sits within CBRE's Operations Management function and carries overall accountability for client satisfaction, business performance, operational execution, talent leadership, and strategic alignment across a global portfolio.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the client partnership
  • Serve as the executive leader for the client account, developing trusted relationships with client executives and key stakeholders across a highly matrixed global organization.
  • Act as the primary point of accountability for overall account performance, client satisfaction, and strategic partnership success.
  • Foster executive engagement and alignment between the client and CBRE leadership teams.

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Lead a global organization of approximately 600 team members across multiple geographies and service lines.
  • Operationalize the recently renewed global contract and successfully execute the transition to a more centralized operating model.
  • Drive consistency, quality, service integration, operational efficiency, and performance outcomes across all regions.
  • Identify operational gaps, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and promote best practices throughout the account.

Navigate Complex Global Stakeholders

  • Successfully operate within the client's consensus-driven culture while maintaining momentum and accountability for decisions and outcomes.
  • Influence stakeholders across varying levels of the client and CBRE organizations to align priorities and deliver business results.
  • Effectively manage ambiguity, change, and competing priorities while maintaining strong client confidence.

Inspire and Develop High-Performing Teams

  • Build a culture of engagement, accountability, and collaboration across a geographically dispersed workforce.
  • Serve as a visible, energetic, and motivating leader who can strengthen morale and foster team stability during organizational change.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain top talent while building a strong succession pipeline.
  • Lead through organizational transitions and effectively manage change across multiple functions and geographies.

Deliver Strong Financial and Business Results

  • Maintain full accountability for account financial performance, including P&L management, contract governance, forecasting, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and achievement of key performance metrics.
  • Partner with CBRE functional leaders to optimize service delivery and account profitability.
  • Identify strategic growth opportunities that strengthen the partnership and create long-term value for both the client and CBRE.

Promote Safety, Risk, and Governance

  • Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and operational discipline across the account.
  • Ensure adherence to CBRE policies, client requirements, and governance standards globally.

  • Proven success leading complex, enterprise-level client relationships within global, matrixed organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility and influence with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience leading through organizational change, transformation initiatives, and operating model evolution.

Operational Excellence

  • Strong operational leadership background with a demonstrated ability to manage large, complex service delivery organizations.
