Job Description

SAIC is seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to support Navy Environmental, Emergency Response, and Air Operations programs in California, MD. The role involves developing and validating geospatial data, leading a dispersed analyst team, and working directly with government clients and SMEs. The candidate will create and review datasets and reports, perform QA/QC, and ensure all deliverables meet accuracy and quality standards.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of experience; additional years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered.

Required skills:
  • Experience working directly with Esri software.
  • Experience converting multiple data types (non-geospatial, CAD, etc.) into a standardized format.
  • Experience performing quality control checks on geospatial data using Esri software (RBJ files or Python).
  • Experience leading a team of analysts, working directly with Government customers, and having ownership of deliverables.
  • Attention to detail and good communication skills.
