Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and perioperative care in collaboration with Gastroenterology and Orthopedic Surgery physicians.
  • Perform daily hospital rounds and evaluate patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Conduct orthopedic consultations and comprehensive preoperative assessments for surgical candidates.
  • Obtain and document patient histories, physical examinations, and clinical evaluations.
  • Review laboratory results, diagnostic studies, imaging, and other pertinent clinical information to develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Assist in the medical optimization and preparation of patients prior to orthopedic surgery.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care, facilitate treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, surgical expectations, recovery plans, and disease management.
  • Participate in discharge planning, follow-up care, and transitions of care as appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively with consulting providers, hospital staff, and ancillary services to support high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to established clinical protocols and best practices.
  • Participate in call coverage and other clinical responsibilities as assigned by the practice.

Pay Range:

$91,313.86 - $169,845.73
