Step into Your New Role  

Kleinfelder is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a role where they can execute project work, partner with senior geotechnical engineers, provide mentorship to junior staff, and engage with clients.

This position is available in our Columbus, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, or Bridgeport, WV offices.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with multidiscipline team to prepare proposals and execute projects.
  • Safely coordinate and execute field exploration programs, construction observation, and associated documentation.
  • Complete engineering analysis including soil and rock classification; shallow and deep foundation capacity, immediate and consolidation settlement; slope stability analysis, geohazard evaluation, ground improvement, and earth retention systems.
  • Partner with internal and external multidisciplinary teams during project development.
  • Prepare Geotechnical Engineering reports.
  • Prepare construction specifications and drawings.
  • Be actively involved during the construction phase of projects.
  • Positively interact with client representatives.
  • Collaborate with project support staff to monitor and control project to achieve target metrics. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering or geology.
  • 6-8 years of geotechnical engineering/project management experience.
  • Positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of: MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Experience with geotechnical software packages including L-Pile, Uni-pile, SHAFT, gINT, GRL WEAP, GEO STUDIO, and FAD preferred.
  • Clean driving record and the ability to pass a drug test required.
