The successful candidate will work closely with a local team of more than 50 geotechnical professionals based in Calgary, supported by a regional team of over 200 geotechnical staff across Western Canada.
Your Opportunity- Innovative Environment: Contribute to forward-thinking projects using tools like UAVs and AI-integrated solutions, with opportunities to collaborate with Stantec's Innovation Office and Digital Center of Excellence.
- Client Engagement: Build trusted client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of our geotechnical practice.
- Project Delivery: Lead the successful delivery of mid-sized to large geotechnical projects, balancing technical excellence, client satisfaction, schedules, and budgets.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical oversight and engineering judgment on a broad range of geotechnical investigations, analyses, and designs.
- Team Development: Mentor emerging professionals and help shape the future of our growing geotechnical practice.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in technical quality, operational efficiency, and innovation across project delivery.

Essential Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological or Mining Engineering, or Geology.
- 8-12 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or related services.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA or in eligible for registration if transferring from another province.
- Valid Canadian driver's license with access to a vehicle.
- Ability to live and work in Canada.
- Residing in Alberta, or willing to relocate.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
