Purpose and scope:
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary Geoscience team to support business activities across the Geographic region of accountability.
  • Develop and maintain external and internal relationships, including customers, academic partners.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop Geoscientists in the region
  • Apply geological knowledge to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Provide geological context for Imaging projects and support Velocity Model Building.
  • Lead or contribute to projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Plan and organize tasks efficiently, delegating where appropriate.
  • Drive innovation and process improvements.
  • Share knowledge and mentor colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide G&G support
  • Provide marketing material for linkedin and technical articles
  • Present technical findings as required
  • Enhance workflows through process improvements.
  • Collaborate to develop new projects, by bringing geological insight
  • Interpret MC library data for basin understanding, petroleum systems, and associated risks.
  • Support Sales Managers in securing opportunities by demonstrating dataset value.
  • Provide geological insights for imaging projects.
  • Ensure high-quality geological QC throughout model evolution.
  • Foster collaboration within and outside the organization.
  • Shares insights and experience with team members; fosters a knowledge-sharing culture

Key Competencies:
  • Ability to articulate geoscience concepts to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of basin prospectivity and seismic data interpretation, including acquisition, processing, and QI methodology.
  • Delivers technical solutions with minimal oversight; actively contributes to know-ledge-sharing
  • Breaks down complex technical tasks into manageable activities; ensures effective execution
  • Applies established methods to develop technical solutions; focuses on efficiency and effectiveness

Key Performance Metrics
  • Number of technical publications and presentations with input
  • Delivery of technical work to an appropriate standard in the agreed timeline
  • Positive feedback from sales/ internal presentations
  • Technical geoscience work at the quality required for VMB, prospectivty or interpretation work
  • Input to revenue-generating projects
