Full Job Description
Role Overview:

As an Exploration Geologist, you will play a strategic role in supporting and advancing regional exploration initiatives within the Island Gold Complex. You will be responsible for leading and executing initiatives related to geological data collection, interpretation, and exploration program support. Working closely with Senior Exploration Geologists and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to effective exploration planning, foster continuous improvement, and enhance overall exploration performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Geological Data Collection & Analysis: Collect, organize, and interpret geological data from diamond drilling, field mapping, surface sampling, and re-logging of historic drill core.
  • Data Management & Best Practices: Ensure industry best practices are followed for geological logging, sampling, and database management.
  • Exploration Planning Support: Collaborate with senior geologists to interpret geological information and support exploration programs and work plans.
  • Geological Modeling: Contribute to deposit- and regional-scale geological modeling to support resource development and targeting.
  • Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Uphold strong safety, environmental, and operational standards at all times while contributing to a positive safety culture.


What You Bring To The Table:

  • 5-10 years of experience in mineral exploration, with expertise in core logging, sampling, and geological interpretation.
  • Proven track record supporting exploration programs and contributing to geological modeling and data analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Earth Sciences; registered or eligible for registration as a Geologist in Training (GIT) or Professional Geologist (P.Geo).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills with a self-motivated approach to work.
  • Experience with Leapfrog, ArcGIS, and SQL databases is considered an asset.
  • Passion for mineral exploration, gold deposit systems, and continuous learning in geological sciences.


Working Conditions:

  • 14/14 rotation
  • Pay or shift range: $80,600 and $128,750 CAD
