Responsibilities

  • Complete thorough vehicle inspections to identify additional safety and maintenance needs
  • Partner with Service Advisors to communicate diagnostic findings and repair recommendations
  • Document diagnostics, repairs, and completed work accurately on repair orders
  • Utilize TruVideo and digital estimating tools for customer transparency
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training to stay current on evolving technology and repair procedures
  • Support and collaborate with team members to maintain high standards of workmanship

Master Automotive Technician | Genesis of Kansas City

Genesis of Kansas City is looking for an experienced Master Automotive Technician to join our team. This is an opportunity for a highly skilled technician who takes pride in diagnostics, complex repairs, precision workmanship, and doing the job right the first time.

Genesis combines luxury, performance, and advanced automotive technology - and we're looking for a technician who can deliver at that same level.

Compensation: Up to $41.40/hour based on production!

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns with accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform repairs and maintenance according to dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Complete thorough vehicle inspections and identify additional safety, maintenance, or repair needs
  • Partner with Service Advisors to clearly communicate diagnostic findings, repair recommendations, and estimated completion times
  • Document all diagnostics, repairs, and completed work accurately on repair orders
  • Utilize TruVideo and digital estimating tools to help provide customers with a transparent service experience
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training and stay current on evolving Genesis technology, systems, and repair procedures
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship, productivity, and attention to detail
  • Support and collaborate with fellow technicians and members of the Service team

What You Bring

  • Automotive degree/certificate or a minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience required
  • Current ASE Certifications required
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience performing advanced mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and completing repairs correctly the first time
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative shop environment

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and remain on your feet for extended periods
