Full Job Description
Job Summary:

We have an excellent career opportunity for a Ready-Mix General Manager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of Ready-Mix operations, fleet, maintenance, and concrete production activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including MSHA, OSHA, EPA, and environmental requirements.
  • Manage capital improvement projects, including budgeting, planning, execution, and return-on-investment analysis.
  • Lead and develop operations, sales, and support teams to achieve safety, service, quality, and profitability objectives in our Metro and Willamette Valley Divisions.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement innovative products, technologies, and processes that improve safety, operational efficiency, and reduce environmental impact, including carbon reduction initiatives.
  • Effective communicator and collaborative leader, capable of navigating high-pressure situations while fostering positive working relationships.
  • Evaluate and resolve operational challenges related to materials, production, quality, equipment performance, and customer service.
  • Manage employee relations matters professionally and effectively while supporting workforce engagement and retention.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership and management experience in construction materials, ready mix concrete, aggregates, or a related industry.

  • Demonstrated responsibility for profit and loss (P&L) management and financial performance.

  • Experience managing concrete production, fleet operations, and equipment maintenance programs.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams effectively in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.

  • Self-motivated leader with a collaborative management style and a commitment to developing people.

  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check, physical/functional assessment, and drug screening.
  • Commitment to maintaining a professional, respectful, and customer-focused work environment.
