YOUR ROLE Accountable for managing all aspects of a high-volume logistics operation. Ensure consistent high level service quality and customer satisfaction, profitable, cost efficient operations and compliance with company policies and procedures, ISO standards, Sarbanes Oxley requirements and other regulatory guidelines. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

• Coordinate and provide direction through multiple teams to ensure customer service expectations are met.
• Responsible for attainment of profit objectives of contracts, provide financial analysis and assist in decision making for customer.
• Responsible for the organic growth and development of additional business opportunities with existing customers and future business development.
• Ensure safety, maintain quality, establish and monitor cost control programs.
• Lead and foster creative problem solving, develop positive and professional relationships with customer and within contracts.
• Work with government departments, social groups, etc.
• Oversee operations schedule and staff in anticipation of customer needs. Oversee the staffing needs of contract to assure sufficient labor to meet the customer's requirements and control costs.
• Ensure accuracy and sustainment of procedures, work instructions, and development of managerial and frontline personnel.
• Utilize Performance Management systems and Continuous improvement methods to maintain contract quality and performance objectives.
• Establish ongoing programs to ensure continuous improvement. This includes the use of Kaizen, LEAN, and the EQS program to maintain quality performance.
• Establish and monitor cost control, including annual budget development, P&L ownership, payroll, and cost analysis.
• Employ Performance Management tools to guide managerial staff to monitor and control all costs.
• Daily administration of contract, including preparation of customer related performance reports and other correspondence; requests from vendors, general office and contract employees; and all other items that fall within managerial scope of responsibility.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, 3PL or Transportation. Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum ten years relevant experience.
• Expertise in operations and business management.
• Experience managing big box operations
• 3PL Industry experience

Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
• In depth, experience-based knowledge of managing revenue, budgets, EBITDA, operations problem solving, customer service and managing people
• Experience with retail compliance; vendor routing guide management & shipment routing practices.
• Familiar and practiced with industry related technologies and applications.
• Experience in tier one WMS and WCS equipped environments.

Characteristics:

• Exceptional planning, time management, collaboration, decision making and organization skills
• Evident business acumen in managing multi-site organization, P&L Management, budgeting and forecasting and operational planning and problem solving.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop appropriate solutions.
