Summary
General Manager, IT Portfolio Management align IT project portfolio with business strategy, company policies and meet governance standards.
What You'll Do
  • Define and enforce project/program management standards, framework and lifecycle
  • Create and maintain templates, tools and best practices
  • Establish and govern project intake and prioritization processes
  • Define KPIs and success metrics for projects and portfolio (on-time, on-budget, deliverables met)
  • Establish common risk and issue management practices across projects
  • Monitor cross project dependencies
  • Act as primary liaison between, IT, business units, and executive leadership for project portfolio matters
  • Continuously refine PMO processes based on lessons learned and feedback
  • Lead and develop project/program managers and PMO staff
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training on project management and delivery practices
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and delivery excellence
  • Develop key business acumen (i.e. financial & legal) concepts within the PM community
  • Integrate organizational change management into project delivery
  • Conduct project health reviews and post implementation assessments
  • Develop and maintain IT resource capacity plans
  • Other duties may be assigned.
