Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented General Manager to oversee operations at our fast-paced restaurant and bakery. This role requires a dynamic leader who excels in managing both front-of-house (FOH) operations while ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, expertise in payroll and inventory management, and proficiency with the Toast POS platform.

Role & Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the restaurant and bakery.
• Manage FOH team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Conduct regular training sessions for FOH staff, emphasizing excellent customer service.
• Analyze labor costs and adjust scheduling to optimize efficiency while staying within budget.
• Handle payroll reconciliation, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, tip submissions, and PTO submissions.
• Submit tips and PTO in accordance with company policies and deadlines.
• Perform labor analysis and reporting to monitor and manage labor costs.
• Oversee liquor inventory and ordering, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
• Manage market inventory, including ordering, tracking, and minimizing waste.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of the Toast POS platform for menu updates, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure accurate tracking of sales, labor, and inventory through the Toast POS system.
• Train staff on Toast features to maximize operational efficiency.
• Lead by example to inspire and motivate the team, promoting accountability and professionalism.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
• Resolve employee and customer issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food and service.
• Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the dining experience.
• Uphold cleanliness, safety, and health standards throughout the restaurant and bakery.

Qualifications
• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role in the food service industry, preferably in a bakery/restaurant environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, staff, and vendors.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in basic computer software and point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
