OVERVIEW:
Advance your career as a Full-time General Manager, where you'll be the driving force behind our branch business. From developing and executing a sales plan in your market, to inspiring a culture of excellence in business-to-business selling, your leadership will shape the success of the entire team. Your leadership will be the compass guiding the branch to new heights. This position is for our branch located at 3-16101 101 St, Grande Prairie, AB T8V 0P2.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Developing and executing a sales plan in a local territory to reach and exceed business goals
o Demonstrating excellence in business to business selling on a daily basis
o Effectively communicating business statistics and progress toward goals to motivate the performance of others
o Modeling and promoting career opportunities to personnel
o Developing and training others to achieve optimal business results as well as personal goals
o Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
o Possess at least one year of Fastenal or related sales experience
o Possess a degree in Business/Marketing OR have equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient computer skills
o Highly motivated and self directed with the ability to motivate others
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Prior managerial experience and product knowledge
