Position SummaryWe are seeking a
General Counsel to join us. This role provides strategic legal guidance, ensures regulatory compliance, mitigates risk, and oversees all legal, compliance, and quality assurance functions.
Key Responsibilities- Advise the CEO, executive leadership, and Board of Directors on legal, governance, and strategic matters.
- Provide legal counsel on contracts, employment, regulatory compliance, litigation, and organizational risk.
- Lead the organization's compliance and quality assurance programs, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Identify and mitigate legal and operational risks while supporting ethical business practices.
- Oversee outside legal counsel and manage legal matters efficiently.
- Develop and review organizational policies, contracts, and governance documents.
- Support organizational initiatives by balancing legal risk with operational objectives.
QualificationsEducation & Licensing- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in good standing
Experience- 10+ years of progressive legal experience, with a combination of law firm and/or in-house experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience in regulatory, compliance, and risk management environments
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Skills & Competencies- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and legal compliance
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex legal and organizational issues
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Compensation Range:$208,000.00 - $249,600.00
