Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities- Responsible for execution of laboratory validation testing, inspection and data acquisition for use in the design and validation of products and services.
- Position will train across several labs to gain ability to run a variety of tests autonomously: Modal (LDV, Shaker,) Load Frame/DIC, Wear and Fretting, and Flow testing
- Support instrumentation selection and application, hardware modification, and test setup and execution to validate engineering models. Author technical documentation to effectively manage implementation of test scheme with craft technicians.
- Develop knowledge of instrumentation to measure temperature, pressure, flow, strain, vibration, etc.
- Project Management - including Cost Estimate, Cost Tracking, Schedule creation.
- Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
- Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Collaborates with others to solve issues. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace or Controls Engineering or closely related discipline from an accredited university or college
- Previous internship or other experience (academic) with lab testing and data acquisition.
- 0-1-year engineering experience
Eligibility Requirements:- This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC plant (relocation assistance is available)

Desired Characteristics- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Experience in measurement technology development including mechanical design analysis of the hardware.
- Strong interest/knowledge around measurement technology & metrology
- Strong desire for hands-on engineering applications.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $120,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
