GCP IAM Technical Lead

**Job Title: GCP IAM Technical Lead** **Position Overview:** We are seeking a GCP IAM Technical Lead to drive Identity and Access Management (IAM) architecture and delivery across enterprise Google Cloud Platform (GCP) onboarding initiatives. This individual will establish secure-by-default IAM patterns, define enterprise standards, and lead cross-functional engineering teams responsible for cloud identity implementation. The ideal candidate will have deep experience designing enterprise-scale GCP IAM solutions, governing Terraform standards, and leading multiple cloud onboarding efforts while partnering closely with security, compliance, and platform engineering teams. **Must-Have Skills:** Candidates should have most or all of the following: - 7+ years of cloud engineering or Identity & Access Management experience - Deep hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) IAM - Experience designing enterprise IAM architectures - Strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience - Experience developing IAM standards, governance, and best practices - Experience implementing RBAC models and service account strategies - Experience leading technical teams or enterprise cloud initiatives - Strong understanding of privileged access management and cloud security principles - Excellent stakeholder management and technical communication skills **Preferred Skills:** - Enterprise cloud migration or cloud transformation experience - Security or compliance governance experience - Infrastructure automation experience - Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience **Core Responsibilities:** *IAM Architecture & Strategy:* - Define enterprise IAM and security standards - Develop RBAC models, service account strategies, and privileged access patterns - Establish secure-by-default identity management practices across cloud environments *Terraform & Infrastructure Governance:* - Define Terraform module standards and reusable IAM patterns - Establish Infrastructure as Code governance and drift management practices - Promote standardized, scalable cloud deployment methodologies *Technical Leadership:* - Lead design reviews and approve architectural exceptions - Manage delivery across multiple cloud onboarding initiatives - Coordinate priorities, dependencies, and implementation timelines - Mentor engineering teams and promote cloud engineering best practices *Operational Excellence:* - Develop operational runbooks and support documentation - Define access recertification processes and operational metrics - Support incident response planning and continuous operational improvement - Drive audit readiness and security compliance initiatives
