Full Job Description
The IT Manager for GALA is responsible for overseeing the daily operation, maintenance, security, and strategic direction of the hotel's information technology systems. This role manages all on-property IT infrastructure, provides technical support to hotel staff, ensures the reliability of hospitality applications, and works closely with department leaders to deliver exceptional guest and operational technology services. The IT Manager is expected to maintain high system availability while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all hotel IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, network equipment, wireless networks, telephony, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Provide leadership and support for the local hotel IT team, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Maintain and support hospitality systems including:
  • Opera Property Management System (PMS)
  • Agilysys point-of-sale and hospitality solutions
  • Canary guest management platform
  • Ensure the security, availability, backup, and disaster recovery of all hotel technology systems.
  • Coordinate software updates, system upgrades, and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and technology procurement.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, networking, and application issues while minimizing operational downtime.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives including endpoint protection, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and user security awareness.
  • Participate in budgeting, technology planning, and capital improvement projects.
  • Provide after-hours support during critical system outages or scheduled maintenance as required.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional IT experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Experience administering or supporting Opera Property Management System (PMS).
  • Experience with Agilysys hospitality solutions.
  • Experience supporting the Canary guest management platform.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Windows desktop operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking, and virtualization.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining exceptional support for hotel operations.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible IT experience in a hospitality environment.
  • Additional industry certifications such as Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, or VMware certifications.
  • Experience with PCI-DSS compliance and hospitality cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience managing technology vendors and IT budgets.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
