This is a Hybrid Telework opportunity. These job requirements allow the employee to work at a Lockheed Martin-designated office or job site for part of their schedule and has a predefined regular, recurring telework schedule for the remaining part of their work schedule.

THE WORK

The candidate will support the Business Development team responsible for Airborne Mission Systems within RMS's Sensors Effectors and Mission Systems line of business. This individual will support growth objectives related to Lockheed Martin's Rotary Wing Mission Systems and Avionics portfolio spanning US Department of Defense and International pursuits. Initial portfolio includes supporting pursuits associated with future vertical lift efforts such as the MV-75, FVL International, Cheyenne II, and related platforms. The candidate will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and shaping opportunities to capture new business while cultivating strong relationships with the US Government and International customers. This is a US-based role that may include ~25% domestic and international travel.

The Business Development lead will support Airborne Mission Systems growth by managing a pipeline of opportunities. This includes:
• Building and maintaining trusting and productive relationships with customers, influencers and key opinion leaders
• Proactive and responsive engagement with domestic and international customers and related stakeholders
• Performing market research and developing business cases to identify, qualify, and shape opportunities
• Developing and implementing capture strategies, analysis of competition, and win strategies
• Leading teams to respond to Requests for Information, Requests for Proposal, and other solicitations
• Contributing to product line and market segment strategic planning cycles
• Managing in-year and planning future-year new business funding
• Collaborating and coordinating with functional, LOB, and BA stakeholders
• Preparing and presenting opportunity reviews to Leadership
• Other related duties as assigned by leadership

Basic Qualifications
• DoD and International Business Development experience
• Knowledge of and experience with Government acquisition process
• Aptitude for strategy, financial acumen, capture management and teaming
• Diplomatic, persuasive and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders
• Self-motivated to work independently and with teams, to take initiative within the bounds of mission requirements and resources
• Demonstrated ability to independently drive tasks to closure and facilitate shaping activities with resourceful solutions to problems
• Able to manage multiple simultaneous deliverables in a fast-paced, high growth environment with fluctuating priorities and minimal guidance
• Demonstrated ability to form and maintain successful customer relationships
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver briefs to executives and customers with appropriate level of messaging
• Ability to travel ~25% domestic and international

• Experience with US DoD services including US Army, US Special Operations, US Air Force, US Navy / Marine Corps
• Experience with US and International budget cycles and planning
• Experience with Foreign Military Sales
• Experience with MV-75, V-22, Future Vertical Lift, Enduring Rotorcraft, and/or Uncrewed Systems
• Experience with Bell Helicopters
• Strong technical or operational background working with avionics and mission systems
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin capture resources and opportunity management tools

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $147,700 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
