Description

The Nursing Supervisor (LPN or RN) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating nursing activities within a healthcare facility to ensure the provision of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role involves supervising nursing staff, managing patient care assignments, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Schedule: Full-Time, Weekends, NOC, 12 Hour Shifts, 3 Days a Week, 6PM - 6AM

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage nursing staff by delegating tasks, providing guidance, and evaluating their performance to ensure quality care.
  • Monitor patient care activities to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain nursing schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
  • Respond to patient concerns and complaints, addressing issues promptly and effectively.
  • Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, making adjustments to care plans as needed to improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and risk management activities to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.


Requirements

Job Requirements
  • Current, unencumbered LPN or RN license in the state where work is performed.
  • 2+ years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in nursing practices, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
