Full Job Description
Pony Bird, Inc. is looking for a Full Time Director of Community Support Services. The Director of Community Support Services is responsible for the overall orgnization and administration of Community Support Services and Day Services.

SALARY RANGE: $35.55 - $44.43 based on experience and education

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Maintain attendance according to the policy of the agency and position.
  2. Adhere to proper call in and call off procedures as outlined by agency policy.

  4. Must complete and maintain all necessary training according as outlined in agency policy.
  5. Responsible to adhere to all physical facility, health, and safety policies and procedures. Each employee is responsible for the health, safety, and well-being of all Individuals served within their service area.
  6. Develop and maintain a Standard Operating Procedures Manual for specific responsibilities and duties of that position.
  7. Attend all staff meetings, management meetings and board meetings as required.
  8. Ensure the maintenance of an effective record-keeping system, including HIPAA security and confidentiality of program, employee, and records of Individuals served.
  9. Support the organizations mission, vision, and core values by ensuring the Individuals receive the support with dignity and respect for quality of life.
  10. Must have a valid driver's license and access to a car for travel throughout the county.

JOB QUALIFCATIONS:
  1. Master's Degree Preferred / Bachelor's Degree required in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Nursing, or comparable degree from an accredited four year college/university.
    Seven years' experience working with community-based supports for persons with developmental disabilities or related field must include two years' experience at a supervisory level.
  2. Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  3. Must possess and demonstrate a working knowledge of current computer applications.
  4. Must be able to communicate in an effective and clear manner, in both written and oral form.
  5. Must be able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical journals and procedures, or governmental regulations.
  6. Must be able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from staff, clients, client guardians, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  7. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  8. Must be able to effectively present job-related information and respond to questions from other managers, staff, clients, client guardians, public groups and / or board of directors.
  9. Must be able to apply mathematical concepts to prepare budgets and prepare data reports for the program.
