Compensation Philosophy

Homebot is committed to offering competitive pay and benefits that reflect industry standards and individual expertise. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including skills, qualifications, and professional experience. In addition to base salary and bonus, all full-time employees are eligible to receive Equity Appreciation Rights (Stock Units) as part of their total compensation package, providing an opportunity to share in Homebot's long-term growth and success. The number of units and vesting schedule are typically determined within the first 90 days of employment, based on role, level, and contribution.

Compensation: This role has an annual targeted base salary range of $125,000 - $143,000 plus an annual 10% performance bonus target.

What You'll Be Accountable For
  • Build and grow our applications, services, and APIs by shipping new features and enhancements.
  • Own implementation end to end, using AI tooling to deliver features from idea to production quickly and responsibly.
  • Create AI-driven workflows and automation that streamline how we work.
  • Collaborate through code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions.
  • Partner with product, design, and engineering leadership to shape the roadmap and solve hard problems.
  • Ship maintainable, well-tested code that scales.

  • Works cross-functionally with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams
Experience & Qualifications
  • You have 3+ years building production-grade software. You're a capable full-stack engineer comfortable working in TypeScript, React, Ruby on Rails, and more.
  • You think in APIs and services. You've built and consumed REST and GraphQL APIs. You keep services decoupled, typed, and scalable.
  • You build with AI. You use AI-powered dev tools and agentic workflows daily, and you own the code you ship and the decisions behind it.
  • You build for quality. You write clean, testable code with strong typing and runtime validation. You test behavior over implementation.
  • You care how it runs, and how it's used. You instrument what you build with monitoring, logging, tracing, and product analytics like Amplitude.
  • You know your way around data. Solid grasp of relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL).
  • You're a collaborative teammate. You communicate clearly, give and take thoughtful code reviews, and enjoy working with product and design.
Bonus Points
  • Familiarity with the home buying, lending, and real estate process
  • Experience with microservice architectures and decomposing monoliths
  • A track record of shipping AI-powered or agentic features
  • Hands-on with GraphQL at scale
  • Exposure to data tooling like Snowflake, Airflow, or dbt
