Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assure quality of work performed by pharmacy technicians and production clerks.
  • Verify and confirm all medication orders dispensed to patients.
  • Coordinate same-day deliveries with couriers for patients.
  • Ensure the validity of controlled substances during dispensing.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to address urgent pharmacy needs.
  • Conduct monthly inventory checks of controlled substances.
  • Enter orders for inter-company patient transfers and consult with patients regarding medication use.

Full Job Description
The shift for this position is Monday through Friday 11:30 am - 8:00 pm EST with a one week on call every 8-weeks.

This position is worksite dependent and can only be performed onsite at our Orlando, FL location

As a Staff Pharmacist you will be responsible for mixing and dispensing medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines. In addition, maintain daily production, quality and service levels, vary work priorities and activities to accommodate business needs. The Staff Pharmacist may also train less experienced pharmacists.

What you will do:
  • Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians and production clerks.
  • Provide verification of all orders that are dispensing to patients.
  • Contact couriers for same day deliveries for patients.
  • Verify and confirm validity of controlled substances.
  • On-Call rotations
  • Conduct monthly cycle counts of controlled substance.
  • Enter transfer for orders for inter-company patients.
  • Consult with patients regarding the use of medications and potential drug interactions.
  • Back up other pharmacists as needed, perform additional duties as assigned by management, or train less experienced pharmacists.
