The shift for this position is Monday through Friday 11:30 am - 8:00 pm EST with a one week on call every 8-weeks.This position is worksite dependent and can only be performed onsite at our Orlando, FL locationAs a Staff Pharmacist you will be responsible for mixing and dispensing medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines. In addition, maintain daily production, quality and service levels, vary work priorities and activities to accommodate business needs. The Staff Pharmacist may also train less experienced pharmacists.
What you will do:- Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians and production clerks.
- Provide verification of all orders that are dispensing to patients.
- Contact couriers for same day deliveries for patients.
- Verify and confirm validity of controlled substances.
- On-Call rotations
- Conduct monthly cycle counts of controlled substance.
- Enter transfer for orders for inter-company patients.
- Consult with patients regarding the use of medications and potential drug interactions.
- Back up other pharmacists as needed, perform additional duties as assigned by management, or train less experienced pharmacists.
What you will need to do the job:- Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D, degree is required
- Current resident pharmacist license in good standing is required
- Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt in a changing environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work a flexible schedule for peak volume times
