Regional Fulfillment Center General Manager

The Job at a Glance

The Regional Fulfillment Center General Manager (GM) at our large format facility is responsible for the overall management, planning, organization, and execution of complete day-to-day operations of our 100k square foot, state-of-the-art fulfillment center in Lewisville, TX, ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity to meet customer expectations of delivering on-time and damage free parts. The GM will lead a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement, and maintain compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and operational goals by analyzing trends, solving problems and motivating team members.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance
  • Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring all team members follow proper safety protocols.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs and procedures to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards to protect team members and assets.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, training, and emergency response drills to enhance workplace safety awareness.

Operations Management
  • Manages all aspects of the fulfillment center's operational functions, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving to drive continuous improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies to meet performance metrics, including cost, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles to streamline workflows.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of day-to day work and recommends alternatives to optimize facility layout, equipment, and staffing to maximize productivity.
  • Supports the network in strategic and business improvement projects.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and mentor a team of managers, supervisors, and frontline team members to achieve operational excellence.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members through formal and information training programs to ensuring a strong pipeline of leadership talent.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Coach, provide performance-based feedback, and conduct performance reviews to enhance team member growth.

Financial & Business Management
  • Directly responsible for the FC's performance by analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting measures to adjust strategies to drive efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage the fulfillment center's budget, including labor, equipment, and operational expenses.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high service levels.

Customer Service & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure on-time, accurate order fulfillment to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Implement quality control measures to reduce errors and returns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., logistics, procurement, and customer service) to optimize operations.

Robotics Integration & Oversight - Proven experience implementing and managing robotics within a fulfillment or distribution environment, with a strong understanding of how automation supports efficiency, safety, and scalability.

Conveyance and Automation Systems - In-depth knowledge of conveyor-based material handling systems, automated sortation, and warehouse control systems. Ability to optimize throughput and minimize manual touchpoints.

Order Consolidation & Multi-Batch Release Execution - Experience with multi-batch order release strategies, particularly by customer, with consolidation capabilities across orders to streamline packing and shipping processes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Previous change management experience (driving, influencing and inspiring change through communication at all impacted levels).
  • 5+ years of experience in fulfillment, distribution, or warehouse management.
  • 4+ years of experience managing teams (50+ team members) in a high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety regulations.


Work Environment
  • Fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.
  • Requires flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., and operating warehouse equipment.
