SUMMARY

The Materials Manager is responsible for overseeing all material handling, inventory control, and supply flow operations to ensure production runs efficiently. This role coordinates closely with purchasing, planning, and operations to maintain optimal inventory levels, control costs, and support uninterrupted manufacturing.

• Maintains accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and implementing strategies to prevent overstocking or shortages.
• Oversee the storage and handling of materials in operations ensuring proper labeling and organization.
• Supervise Inspection of incoming materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with production teams, logistics providers, and other departments to ensure smooth material flow.
• Manage investigations into resolving inventory discrepancies
• Implement new processes and procedures to ensure the ERP system accurately reflects the current state of inventory.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCEand QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• 10-15 years of experience in Supply Chain roles at a manufacturer
• Previous experience in warehouse slotting and pick, pack, and ship operations
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to interact with vendors
• Understanding of supply chain principles and logistics
• Experience in cost management and budgeting
• Leadership skills to manage a team of warehouse personnel
• Design and implementation of organizational structure for a manufacturing plant
• This position may require:

• Occasionally may be exposed to hazards such as loud noise, heavy equipment, temperature extremes, chemicals, etc., while visiting a branch location or manufacturing facility.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
