Drive Systems Center

Bring your experience to support a team that's building transmissions and gearboxes that thrill our customers and redefine the way the world flies. This role will be an integral part of the team, helping execute day-to-day.

What you'll be doing as a Front Line Leader

  • The Front Line Leader will be responsible for assigning, managing and directing the daily manufacturing activities of up to 25 union covered employees within their assigned area to attain economy of operations, maximize throughput, and ensure profitable production of parts.
  • Work with Process Engineering and Quality to identify process improvement opportunities that improve overall efficiency, while reducing defects that lead to scrap and rework.
  • Oversee safe and efficient assembly operations.
  • Conduct disciplines of employees when necessary.
  • Manage in accordance with the local production union Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Provide metrics driven accountability for performance: Earned hours, efficiency, schedule, overhead, and overtime charges.
  • Achieve objectives in a matrix work environment and work effectively with multiple functions (such as Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Quality, etc.).

  • Effective interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organization skills.
  • Being goal-oriented and data driven with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Capable of leveraging modern business systems and have basic computer skills.


What you need to be successful

  • 5 years of manufacturing, assembly, or military experience preferred
  • Must be an empowering team leader, that encourages growth and development
  • B.S. in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or equivalent experience is preferred; in lieu of degree, 5 years' experience in related field
