Full Job Description
The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will play a critical role within the FP&A team, reporting to the Director, FP&A. This position will be heavily involved in developing financial models and extracting valuable information from large data sources used to drive strategic business decisions. The Manager, FP&A will be a true business partner and expert in forecasting, able to clearly communicate between core finance / accounting and executive leadership.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Continuous improvement (automation) of the monthly reporting package
  • Use advanced analytics of large data sets to help determine Lifetime Values (LTVs) based on carrier, lead source and new vs. plan switcher assumptions
  • Reconcile data across multiple reporting systems
  • Ensure expenses are properly accounted for
  • Support business leaders in managing their profit and loss centers with monthly reporting and finance connect meetings
  • Provide monthly variance analysis versus Budget, Forecast, and Prior Year
  • Support the overhaul of the annual budget process
  • Implement a new forecast process
  • Assist in presentations for internal executive leadership and Board of Directors
  • Participate in annual ramp plan discussions for MAQ hiring, working closely with Account Managers, Recruiting, and Operations
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Other ad-hoc strategic analyses and work across the business, as necessary
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration / Accounting / Finance
  • 5 years' experience working in Finance, preferably in FP&A
  • Strong working knowledge of finance basics including P&L and cash flow statements.
  • Strong analytical skills and detail orientation
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • General knowledge of accounting principles
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, variable environment
  • Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong planning and analytical skills with attention to detail

  • Experience with Workday & Adaptive Planning


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position (e.g., sitting or standing) for extended periods of time, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)


  • Frequent use of a computer, dual monitors, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment such as a telephone, copier, and printer.


  • Must be able to communicate effectively, including exchanging information in person, in writing, by telephone, email or video conferencing.


  • Visual and auditory acuity required to perform job duties effectively, including reading, writing, and interpreting information on screens or in print.


  • Hand dexterity, fine motor skills needed to operate a keyboard and mouse efficiently


  • Reach with hands and arms occasionally
