What You'll Own
Take customer-facing features from concept to production. Talk to users, design the solution, build it, and watch them use it
Design secure, auditable data models and event-driven pipelines that power AI agent workflows
Develop internal and external APIs and a real-time operator console that gives customers full visibility into their operations
Build first-party integrations with ERPs, 3PLs, retailers, and freight partners, and a resilient sync layer that keeps everything in lockstep
Establish observability, SLOs, and on-call practices for mission-critical workflows where downtime means missed shipments and chargebacks
Work across the full stack, backend, data engineering, and frontend, wherever the highest-leverage problem lives
REQUIREMENTS
Technical
2 to 5 years of software engineering experience, ideally including time at a high-agency startup where you owned product work end-to-end
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, the core stack at Jampack
Postgres for data modeling and query performance
Full-stack capability, including React for customer-facing product surfaces
Comfortable with event-driven pattern, webhooks, async workflows, integrations that keep external systems in sync
Execution and Ownership

Researches the right approach before building, and chooses the simplest thing that will actually work
Cares about reliability - this is mission-critical infrastructure where downtime means missed shipments for real brands
Hungry, committed, and "all-in" on an early-stage startup pace. Not 9-to-5, not 996 - reachable when things break, and honest about what that requires Communication Clear, direct communicator who can talk to non-technical customers when needed and translate their workflows into software
Low ego, collaborative, works directly with the two co-founders every day Location
Hybrid in Brooklyn, NY (WeWork). Strong preference for in-person most of the week
Nice-to-Have
Prior experience as a founding engineer or early hire at a seed/Series A startup

Experience at Flexport or a comparable logistics-adjacent company
Familiarity with Supabase, Next.js, or other modern BaaS stacks
Hands-on work with AI agents, LLM tooling, or agentic workflows in production
