Job Description

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional sales leadership role. Nor is it simply an enterprise Account Executive position.

We're looking for our first commercial leader-a builder who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys creating structure from scratch, and wants to play a foundational role in shaping the future of CyberEd.io .

As our Founding Director of Enterprise Sales, you'll partner closely with executive leadership to validate our go-to-market strategy, refine our ideal customer profile, develop repeatable sales processes, secure flagship enterprise customers, and build the commercial foundation that future sales teams will scale from.

Initially, you'll operate as an individual contributor responsible for creating pipeline, closing enterprise business, and gathering market intelligence. As the business grows, you'll transition into building and leading a high-performing enterprise sales organization.

This role is ideal for someone who has successfully helped build an early-stage cybersecurity company, business unit, or product-not someone who simply excelled within an already mature sales organization.

What You'll Do

Build the Commercial Foundation

  • Partner with executive leadership to validate and refine CyberEd.io 's go-to-market strategy.
  • Gather customer feedback to continuously improve messaging, positioning, packaging, and market approach.
  • Refine ideal customer profiles, buyer personas, and qualification criteria through real customer engagement.
  • Develop repeatable sales processes, playbooks, and best practices that will support future growth.
  • Establish forecasting, pipeline management, and sales operating rhythms.

Drive Enterprise Revenue Growth

  • Identify, engage, and close new enterprise customers across CyberEd.io 's portfolio of cybersecurity education and readiness solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships with CISOs, security executives, L&D leaders, GRC leaders, CIOs, and executive buying committees.
  • Own the complete enterprise sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution.
  • Develop strategic account plans focused on long-term partnerships and multi-year enterprise agreements.
  • Consistently build and manage a healthy pipeline while providing accurate forecasting.

Shape the Market Strategy

  • Serve as the voice of the customer by bringing market insights directly back to product and leadership.
  • Identify competitive trends, customer objections, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Help validate pricing, packaging, and commercial models through customer engagement.
  • Work closely with Carlos and cross-functional stakeholders to continuously improve the customer offering.

Prepare the Business to Scale

As CyberEd.io matures, you'll help transition the organization from founder-led selling to a scalable commercial model by:

  • Building repeatable sales methodologies
  • Developing onboarding materials and sales enablement resources
  • Helping recruit, mentor, and eventually lead future Account Executives
  • Creating a culture focused on accountability, ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

  • 8-10+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience, with a strong record of new business development.
  • Significant experience selling cybersecurity training, cybersecurity education, cyber workforce development, or closely related enterprise cybersecurity solutions.
  • Demonstrated success helping build or scale an early-stage business, startup, or new business unit.
  • Experience selling directly to CISOs, security executives, and executive buying committees.
  • Proven ability to create repeatable sales processes-not simply execute existing ones.
  • Experience navigating long, complex enterprise sales cycles.

What Sets You Apart

  • You're a builder.
  • You enjoy solving problems that don't yet have documented processes.
  • You thrive in environments where the playbook is still being written.
  • You take ownership instead of waiting for direction.
  • You naturally look for solutions before raising problems.
  • You're energized by helping shape a business-not simply selling into one.
